Western Land Title Agency, LLC, based out of Ludington Michigan is seeking a Closing Specialist for our Muskegon Office. WLTA is a full-service title company serving real estate companies, corporations and financial institutions in support of residential and commercial real estate transactions.


The closing coordinator will work closely with our real estate agents, home buyers and sellers and will act as a liaison to all parties involved, they will compile, review, analyze and verify sales documents and the necessary closing documents for residential single-family homebuyers, the candidate will coordinate/manage the entire closing process to keep the transaction on track to a smooth, successful closing.


Overall, we are looking for a friendly, outgoing and well organized person with a strong work ethic and desire to find solutions to help customers have a truly remarkable experience closing their real estate transactions.


  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Review Real Estate Contracts, CDF Settlement Statements, Deeds, and other closing documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with state requirements and client instructions
  • Work closely with clients to accomplish a closed transaction in a timely, efficient and error-free manner
  • Prepare, review and approval of closing disclosure and all other closing documents necessary for the transaction
  • Data Entry into Soft Pro and Pro Trust
  • Ability to review, analyze and impute title commitments into Soft Pro
  • Work closely with corporate office and assist with the improvement of various business processes
  • Involved in new employee training process to ensure efficiency and accuracy for all products
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • 3-5 years closing and escrow services preferred
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Must have the attitude and ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities and to be able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with a professional demeanor
  • Technology proficient with Microsoft Office software including but not limited to Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to use general office machines such as computers, printers, copiers, etc
  • May include mandatory overtime
